About Sandy Springs
Sandy Springs
(Hammond as a well-known) is
a newly incorporated city
(as of December 2005),
Fulton County, Georgia,
north of Atlanta and south
of Roswell. It is said that
the sandy spring which still
exists today in the city,
which protects the park.
Boundaries of Sandy Springs
are Atlanta, to the south,
Cobb County (both the
Chattahoochee River) to the
west and north, Roswell (the
river) to the north, and
unincorporated Dunwoody (in
Dekalb County line) to the
east -. Small Panhandle that
extends between the north
and the Chattahoochee River
north of Dunwoody to the
south, at the end of a very
small border with Gwinnett
County. (This was part of
Dekalb Panhandle later ceded
to the former Milton
County.)
Largest business areas of
the Roswell Road corridor
and Perimeter Center
(although living in the
Perimeter Mall adjacent to
Dekalb County). Perimter
Center contains a number of
high-rise buildings
(including lambas suburban
buildings in the U.S.,
570-foot concourse Towers).
Just south of business
district across the I-285,
is a large Medical center,
which is based on the
Northside Hospital and Saint
Joseph's Hospital.
