About Dunwoody
Dunwoody is a census designated place of
North Dekalb County, Georgia. From the 2000 census, the CDP
had total population of the 32808th In addition, it was the
name of the major Charles Dunwoody. Dunwoody is one of the
richest and most prestigious areas of Greater Atlanta, where
many elegant homes, an abundance of highly ranked schools
and shopping and entertainment opportunities.
Dunwoody Generally considered to be the tip of the North
County, which is bounded by the Sandy Springs in Fulton
County on the north and west of Interstate 285 (perimeter)
is the south, Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett
County on the southeast and northeast.
Perimeter Mall, and the majority of the Perimeter Center
area of commercial and office buildings (including several
high-rises) are both located here. The western part of
Perimeter Center area includes a number of Fulton County
Sandy Springs. Elsewhere, is known as the Dunwoody Country
Club.
The average income for a household in the CDP was $ 82,838
and the median income for a family was $ 100,796. Males had
an average income $ 70,460 versus $ 42,813 for females. If
the per capita income for the CDP was $ 43,523.
Approximately 1.5% of families and 3.6% of the population
were below the poverty line, including 2.4% under the age of
18 and 5.2% of those 65 or more.
Since early 2006, a study is conducted by the Carl Vinson
Institute of Government at the University of Georgia, in
order to determine how this is possible, that would be added
to the city of Dunwoody. Supporters hope that the survey is
